There was this great saying:“The best antidotefor worry is work. The best cure for weariness is the challenge of helping someone who is even more tired. One of the great ironies of life is this: He or she who serves almost always benefits more than he or she who is served.”
The above words convey that, one can attain happiness and will benefited when one does a selfless service. The person who is the giver experiences more pleasure and joy than the receiver. Volunteers of LAASA attain this gladness by serving the needy and deserving at their hard times. One such volunteer Menda Parvathi, had identified two poor and needy families in Balaga, Srikakulam.
Tarini Jayalakshmi (aged 60) and Tarini Seetha Ramamurthy (aged 65) were residents of Balaga, Srikakulam. They have 3 sons, two of them are mentally challenged and the third son is a drunkard. Jayalakshmi had a hand injury. This family is in a pathetic condition that they couldn’t at least earn for daily bread.Lada Seethamma (aged 58) resides in Balaga Srikakulam with her mentally challenged son. This family is facing miserable situation that they at least cannot fill their bellies. We the LAASA provided food under 100 day food program to these poor and deserving families.
