“The hands that serve are holier than the lips that pray…is a proverb with a similar meaning. This saying elucidates that if man wants to worship god they can do better by serving by serving the poor and the needy. The real service to man is the service to god. This actually was the main teaching of many great saints like Buddha, Mahavira and Jesus. This is mainly because god is present not in the idols we worship but in every living thing around us. So we must every living thing with equal respect and always try to help our fellow human beings.”

God is one but takes many forms. He’s in every person we see in our daily life. He lives in every person of the world – from paperboy to President. LAASA salutes its volunteer AnemiJeevan Rao who has identified this truth and thereby helping Maheswarifrom Nakkavanipalem, Gajuwaka, Visakhapatnam – a poor young child whose parents are daily wage labor where they cannot afford paying medical bills of their bone cancersuffering daughter.
