“Desire is a part of existence, and no living creature is exempt from it. Some desires are in-built, like the desire for survival, for example. Feelings of thirst and hunger are so intimately connected with life, that one does not discuss these instincts in terms of desires. But desires there certainly are, like the desire for progeny, desire for house, desire for property and so on. While those spiritually evolved can break free from desires, it is impractical to expect the ordinary folk to do so, including those who have studied the Vedas. Recognising this, Vedic Society sought to regulate desires rather than to totally eliminate them.”

As mentioned earlier in the context, no one on the planet can escape from the desires of Thirst and Hunger. Man can only seek help of his brothers to satisfy his hunger/thirst. LAASA salutes its volunteer Gadili Mallesh who has identified two downtrodden families who are in dire need of food and other basic needs:
1. Mr Aravala Ramarao, who died recently had a 33-year-old daughter Aravala Lakshmi. She is a differently abled person. She is living in Poosarlapadu village, Gara Mandal
2. Pitta Lakshmi Narasamma, age 70 wife of late Pitta Papayya is living most down trodden conditions at Poosarlapadu village.
LAASA has provided both the families necessary food and other groceries that would suffice the families’ hunger for 100 days.
The basic essence of all the Vedas is to serve the needful with purity at heart with unity. As always LAASA is to Love all and Serve All to infinity and beyond.
